Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (30-minute lunch, 37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Location: Dunton, Essex SS15 6EE

We are looking for an MP&L Operations Co-Ordinator to join our Ford Component Sales team in Dunton. This role supports the Material Planning & Logistics function, ensuring the smooth movement of parts and materials across the supply chain while maintaining excellent service levels for customers and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, logistics providers, warehouse operations, internal teams, and customers to coordinate stock availability, resolve supply issues, manage backorders, and support the successful delivery of automotive components throughout the network.

What You'll Be Doing

• Monitor part availability and manage customer backorders.
• Communicate stock availability and delivery updates to customers.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, warehouse teams, customers, and Ford stakeholders.
• Raise purchase orders and support replenishment activities.
• Investigate and resolve shortages, short shipments, damaged parts, and supplier delivery issues.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.
• Support inventory management and stock accuracy processes.
• Maintain accurate records across supply chain and inventory systems.

During a Typical Day, You'll

• Review customer orders and part availability.
• Monitor and manage backorders.
• Contact customers with updates regarding stock availability and delivery status.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding outstanding deliveries and shipment schedules.
• Investigate shortages, damaged goods, and shipment discrepancies.
• Raise purchase orders and coordinate replenishment requirements.
• Prepare export and customs documentation.
• Update inventory, logistics, and ordering systems.

What You Bring to the Role

• Previous experience within Supply Chain, Logistics, Material Planning, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Customer Service, or a similar operational role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing customer orders, stock movements, or supplier relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
• Experience using ERP, inventory management, purchasing, or logistics systems.
• Knowledge of transport, customs, export documentation, or logistics operations would be advantageous.
