Readiness Test

By this time, you have your SSD drive and your USB wired headset.

We're ready to start the Employee Readiness Test (we call this the ERT) on the same computer you passed the Initial Systems Assessment test on...remember, this will be the computer you work on moving forward.

And when you've successfully passed this last scan, you'll be on your way to the next step - the Tech Check-in!

Did your computer situation change?

If you need to use a different computer for work, you’ll need to take the Initial Systems Assessment scan again.

A. Installing Employee Readiness Test

1. Click on the Download ERT button to install and launch the Employee Readiness Test (ERT)

2. After clicking on the download button, look at the bottom of the window and when it finishes downloading, click on the ERTSetup.exe file to begin the installation.

3. You may get a message from User Account Control (UAC), click on the Yes button to allow it.

4. On the welcome screen, click on the Next button.

5. Click on the I Agree button to accept the terms of the License Agreement.

6. Click on the Next button.

7. Click on the Install button.

8. To complete these steps, click on the Finish button.

This window closes and after some seconds, another one will open (which is explained on the next section).

IMPORTANT: To proceed with all steps of the next section, please temporarily disable your antivirus software. If your antivirus flags our software as malicious, please know that our software is secure.

And don’t worry, we’ll remind you to enable your antivirus software at the end of our session.

B. Beginning the Employee Readiness Test (ERT)

1. Let’s start with Employee Readiness Test. Click on the Next button.

2. Type your first name, last name and email.

Make sure you enter the email used on the Job application and click on the Next button.

3. Click on the Next button.

4. Click on the Play button (this is for testing your headset volume).

5. If that is okay, then click on the Stop button.

6. To calibrate the microphone, press the Test button and record your message.

7. Click on the Stop Test button. You should be able to hear what you have recorded.

8. Click on the [a] checkbox if you have been able to successfully hear the recorded message. Then, click on the Next button.

9. Click on the Next button.

10. Now is time to test your SSD Drive, please insert it.

The SSD Drive needs to be inserted in an available USB port. You may need to unplug the mouse or keyboard if you don’t have more USB ports available to complete this test.

Please ensure that only one SSD Drive is inserted.

IMPORTANT: Even though you plugged your SSD drive in for this scan, do not attempt to log in to it or configure it. Ignore any pop ups about configuring your SSD at this point.

This error will occur if your SSD drive is not inserted properly. Please ensure that the SSD drive is plugged into your computer.

11. Once you have successfully passed the network connection check, click on the Next button.

12. To check your hard-wired (ethernet) connection, click on the Start Test button.

13. If you have this error message, follow the instructions indicated.

14. . Once you have successfully passed the network connection check, click on the Next button.

15. The next step is to validate if the Windows Update on your computer is updated. Click on the Check button

If you haven’t made an update in quite some time, the update could take up to an hour. If you’re up to date, this will go quickly!

16. If Windows is not updated, please follow the below instructions and then click the Check button again.

17. If your Windows is up-to-date, click Next to continue.

18. Now, is time to test your web cam, click on the Next button.

19. If your computer doesn't pass the scan, please go to the Requirements page to learn more. (There may be more than one reason why your computer isn't compatible).

20. You have successfully passed the Employee Readiness test. Click on the Finish button

You're set to prepare your PC and set it up for your work environment. And now is the time to re-enable your antivirus software.
