TTEC is seeking a Travel Manager to join our team at our Headquarters in Englewood, Colorado.

This role is responsible for developing and executing a global travel strategy to support TTEC’s business travel needs around the world. The Travel Manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives for TTEC global travel program with a focus on cost effective and comprehensive travel options, travel solution innovation, traveler safety and TTEC duty of care to its travelers, and pro-active analysis of travel spend, enterprise travel policy development and enforcement.

What You’ll Be Doing :
  • Lead TTEC Global Travel function with annual travel spend in excess of $20M, supporting 2500 travelers around the globe.
  • Develop, plan, execute, track and report travel initiatives in alignment with TTEC strategic objectives, as communicated from time to time by the company’s senior leadership team.  
  • Develop relationship with key travel industry vendors to provide effective travel solutions for TTEC global travel program, including travel management companies, airlines, lodging and ground transportation providers. 
  • Effectively manage travel vendor relationships to negotiate preferential rates and opportunities for cost effective travel solutions around the globe.
  • Manage TTEC global Travel Help Desk to maximize service to travelers and support cost effective travel alternatives.
  • Engage in the process of continuous improvement by periodically benchmarking TTEC travel practices and vendor pricing against market and best practices.
  • Stand-up robust data analytics and reporting about TTEC travel spend to help monitor and report Travel policy compliance adherence.
  • Based on periodic critical review of travel data analytics, identify and recommend actions (policy changes, negotiate new agreements, enforcement practices, etc.) to improve TTEC’s overall travel program and reduce total travel spend.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on travel innovation; stay current on changes in the global travel industry and travel vendor profiles and options; communicate developments that may impact TTEC’s travel practices or costs to allow for timely adjustment in policy and practice. 
  • Be personally responsible for driving positive evolution to how TTEC travels to take advantage of the changing travel environment.
  • Promote best practices for the enterprise duty of care for our travelers.
  • Through data analytics, recommend and establish travel related controls by identifying compliance issues, ineffective cost arrangements and any other opportunities to improve our travel offerings, travel safety, and cost.

What Skills You’ll Need :

  • Bachelor degree in Travel, Economics, Communication or related field is a requirement.
  • Travel industry experience and Corporate travel experience are required.  A blend of experience in both corporate travel and travel agency environment would be preferred.
  • Experience in international travel is a major plus.
  • Experience and a documented track record in travel management, contract management and supplier relationship development.
  • An effective team player who thrives on quantifiable outcomes and is client service focused
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven track record of effective partnership with vendors and providers is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to interact effectively with a diverse groups and individuals in the organization (travelers at all levels, senior executives, and subject-matter-experts)
  • Ability to manage a globally dispersed team, communicating clear and measurable performance targets to employees, while fostering opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business and traveler needs and translate them into actual policy/application and operational reporting
  • Experience with a global TMO, like Engecia, GBT or BCD preferred.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Collaborative, positive attitude, natural curiosity and love of learning is a must.
