Social Media Specialist
The Social Media Specialist position is responsible for guiding and monitoring online discussions with TeleTech 's virtual community across multiple social and digital platforms. This role also includes posting content, becoming an expert on the communities they manage and providing regular best practice feedback and post-performance analytics to further guide social strategy. The Social Media Specialist should be well-versed in social media and online community trends, technology and strategies. This individual should also have experience and comfort when acting in the public sphere and can influence key external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities

Content Positioning

• Manage and post company related content for Twitter, Google , LinkedIn, company Blogs, forums and other social media channels to ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks.

• Evangelize our services and educate our users via planned and proactive engagement on social channels

• Participate in professional networking by following other bloggers and online writers; plus attending relevant events (either online or in person) to gain additional knowledge of digital/social/viral trends.


• Identify existing and emerging social media tools and channels needed to execute these strategies.

• Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding employment brand, report to appropriate parties inside TeleTech

• Daily monitoring of TeleTech's social and digital media presence, including answering questions from the online community.

• Monitor online discussions and perceptions related to the company, the services, work at TeleTech, etc. and escalate to our legal and compliance department as appropriate


• Optimizing tags, on feeds, sharing sites like YouTube/Flickr and search engines through copywriting, creative & keyword optimization.

• Conduct keyword research including cataloging and indexing target keyword phrases

• Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how competitor organizations and companies are using them, so that the company can continue to be an early adopter of these technologies.

• Identify and engage advocates and power users who will help in communication dissemination and word of mouth viral marketing.

• Must be able to establish metrics and reports on a monthly basis to gauge concerns for various departments and include their recommendations for communication improvements.

• Bachelor's degree ideally in Communications, PR, Marketing or Digital Media

• Fluent in written and oral English

• 2 years past experience in B2B or B2C social media (blogs, podcasts, RSS, forums, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)

• Creative problem solver

• Experience in viral marketing campaign development

• Dedicated to blogging and use of social networks and understands the power of feed marketing

• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Creative Adobe Suite)

• Experience performing and evaluating social media analytics
