The Director of Global Strategic Sourcing, Services will be responsible for managing the team of Category Managers that handle Services categories including Marketing, Human Capital, Accounting, Tax, Facilities, Finance and Travel. For their assigned categories, the Category Managers are to develop a deep understanding of the supply base and best-in-class sourcing practices in that industry, applying that knowledge to TTEC (formerly TeleTech)’s advantage.  For their internal customer, they are to act as a single point of contact for a broad range of issues, facilitating the navigation of the procurement process for the internal customer, working with other members of the team when outside of their assigned sourcing category.
The Director of Global Strategic Sourcing, Services is expected to drive a consistent and effective procurement process around Supplier Management, RF(x) and Contract Management. This role will focus heavily on supporting our Enterprise business partners globally.
The Director of Global Strategic Sourcing, Services will be responsible for establishing and managing an annual sourcing plan based on top suppliers and spend categories in the regions he/she manages. This plan and plan execution will ensure Strategic Sourcing team involvement in leveraging spend with global strategic suppliers through a strategic sourcing process that is consistent with TTEC (formerly TeleTech) procurement policies and best practices.
 
Performance will be based on progress against goals, category management success, employee development, spend influenced in identified categories, compliance to Global Strategic Sourcing policies and controls, and ability to establish and maintain positive and credible relationships with key stakeholders as a creator of value in the company's supply chain.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Direct a team in providing deep functional and technical strategic sourcing expertise in various categories and develop, manage, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.   
  • Help Category Managers develop category and supplier strategies proactively and collaboratively through on-going market and spend analysis.
  • Develop excellent customer service to our business partners, addressing their sourcing needs with a sense of urgency
  • Oversee and perform the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, cost savings, service levels, and performance standards to meet desired outcomes for significant sourcing projects. 
  • Assist in the overall strategy for the respective categories. Effectively plan and lead the negotiation strategy for complex sourcing events (RFPs).
  • Ensure category managers develop a high-quality supply base for the assigned category, with suppliers who are positioned to meet TTEC (formerly TeleTech)’s current and future needs, 
  • Manage an evaluation process to assess supplier capabilities, financial stability, and on-going performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and scorecard development
  • Keep up with industry trends in the assigned categories and develop influential relationships with key supplier contacts
  • Track category spend, as well as developing and implementing a cost savings plan for the category
  • Direct supplier selection activities through management of formal and structured sourcing processes
  • Perform financial and stability analysis of potential vendors
  • Determine appropriate contract forms and work with staff to develop supplementary contract language, ensuing that procurement agreements are protective of TTEC (formerly TeleTech) in form and substance
  • Edit and negotiate terms and conditions of vendor agreements in collaboration with end users and Legal to obtain the best overall terms
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism to TTEC (formerly TeleTech) and the supplier community
  • Perform required business analysis for strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop, monitor, and amend departmental processes and procedures to ensure effective administration of agreements and centralization of supply chain activities in various regions
  • Train and manage staff to ensure alignment of departmental activities with organizational goals and initiatives
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders in the business and the supply base. Evangelize and improve TTEC (formerly TeleTech) procurement policies and standards. Encourage and enforce compliance. Proactively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to management and employees as appropriate. Actively enroll their support

 Job Specifications :
  • 10 years of overall strategic sourcing and procurement experience
  • Experience in Category Management approach, especially in Services categories
  • Capability in applied spend analytics, ERP and leading edge sourcing tools, processes and strategies
  • Ability to direct and manage sourcing professionals effectively
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in negotiating agreements resulting in cost savings and ease of administration
  • Experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects and presenting the results to executive-level management
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Leadership, project management, research, and analytical skills are a must
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills with experience managing extended global teams (North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, EMEA)
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
