As the Art Director, you will play an essential role in our corporate communications department. You will create and develop relevant creative solutions that are scalable, customizable and adaptable based on global market variations and needs. You will support the Director of Marketing, Communications and Branding in maintaining a consistent brand voice across all employee programs that support the mission, vision and purpose of the company.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
We are looking for someone to champion our brand standards and motivate and inspire the team to produce exceptional creative assets while also trouble shooting and resolving any issues that may arise. We are looking for someone to lead creative discussions in a consultative manner and create brand ambassadors in the process.
You will lead and manage complex projects, applying strategic thinking to deliver best in class creative across all communication channels including social media, print, video and web that focus on the employee lifecycle (Attract, onboard and engage).
The Art Director will partner closely with global marketing/communication and internal creative partners to meet project objectives, priorities timelines and deadlines. You will thoroughly understand each scope of work and drive a brand understanding to the team to ensure market adaptation and brand consistency.
It goes without saying that you will manage the overall operations of our global look and feel. You will work alongside our traffic team to catalog our corporate assets too, including copy, content, and design. You will set the visual direction and team standards as well as manage and maintain our brand standards and guidelines (as well as specific market nuisances).
It is imperative that you ensure processes are in place that helps the team manage overlapping schedules and activities for multiple projects being produced simultaneously.
The successful candidate must be able to :


  • Lead brainstorms, concept  and present innovative ideas that garner buy-in from peers and clients while netting measurable results
  • Manage the day-to-day interactions and operations of the department
  • Oversee multiple projects of competing priority and complexity without compromising quality or brand standards
  • Serve as a thought leader and innovation pioneer, presenting new ways of approaching creative while remaining flexible and solutions oriented
  • Leverage our platforms to deliver exciting employee experiences through creativity and design
  • Ability to work in a large and complexed matrixed environment while collaborating with all levels of staff (including executive management)
  • Have strong communication skills and have a keen ability to maintain composure in a highly a pressurized environment
  • Master design across all channels and software applications in Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Animation and motion graphics capabilities are a plus
  • Enhance efficiencies in the department related to process & protocols
  • Maintain awareness of current design trends
  • Stay abreast of technological advances to improve team designs and skillsets



 
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or equivalent
  • Have an exceptional portfolio reflecting 8-10 years of experience in graphic design/art direction
  • Well versed in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Excel and PPT (Video editing experience is a plus)
  • Excellent typographical and concept design skills are essential
  • Excellent project management skills (Ability to handle a large volume of projects)

  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a global team in the US, Mexico and Philippines
