What You'll Do

As the Internal Auditor) with a focus on SOX compliance, you’ll be responsible for leading the testing components of the company's SOX program for business process areas. This includes working closely with business units to assess and test internal controls, document findings, and contribute to remediation efforts. You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in SOX compliance.

You’ll report to the Executive Director, Operations. You’ll impact the business by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting through effective SOX compliance. This role is critical in mitigating financial risks, protecting the company's reputation.

During a Typical Day,You’ll

·Execute assessments and reviews of control design and operating effectiveness testing

·Facilitate risk assessment and project scoping to determine the scope for each reporting year, prepare written reports complete with findings and practical recommendations

·Conduct process walkthroughs with process/control owners

·Review control deficiencies, prepare deficiency reports, and monitor remediation efforts Document and raise deficiencies and other key observations/recommendations with the SOX PMO and management

·Act as a subject matter expert in SOX testing areas

·Responsibilities will also include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance 2) adhering to company policies and procedures, 3) completing required training

·Work closely with senior and executive management to provide status updates and support decision-making related to the SOX program


What you Bring to theRole

·1-3 years of experience in internal or external auditing, accounting, finance, or corporate operations with a strong background in process and controls

·BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline

·1-3 years of Sarbanes-Oxley experience deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and COSO

·Experience in FinTech, banking and/or financial services experience primarily focused on BP SOX or IT enterprise-wide risk management and ICFR controls consulting

·Ability to conduct and document business risk assessments

·Strong project management skills combined with effective written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
